Scobey value as benchee or trade bait??

Postby Seachickens » Fri Aug 20, 2004 12:15 pm

I just dropped a kicker to pick up Scobey...is he still doing kick returns for Arizona? Obviously he's going to be Emmit's back up this season, but does he have fantasy value beyond that? I could potentially use him as a bencher or trade bait (along with Musa Smith of Baltimore if Jamal goes to the slammer).

Danke !!!

Scobey still returns kicks, but Bryant Johnson returns punts...

I'm not sure Scobey will see as many returns with an improved Arizona defense...

Now, I think there is good value in the Arizona backup position, but at this point it is hard to tell if that will be Damien Anderson or Josh Scobey for sure...

Actually, I read somewhere on the forums that Scobey should be an awesome sleeper. He's lightning fast, makes great cuts, and is backing up a senior citizen. If he ends up taking the starting spot for any reason, I would highly recommend grabbing him. But again, this is based on an "if" and hearsay.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You're such a jokester Plindsey.

Kick return duties are great for bad teams like Arizona. Other teams will be scoring on them a lot, which means lots of kick returns for Scobey. Plus the average kick return is gonna get you at least 20-25 yards, which is better than the 5 yards punt return guys get.
