Anyone ever kept a kicker LOL

I had a guy use one of his 7 keepers in our 16 team league on Mike Vanderjagt! He dropped Brian Westbrook, he owns LT and CMart......this guy WON the league this year, and its a VERY competitive league

So anyone else ever heard of this.....

I would check his health records to see if he had a lobotomy after the season was over.

yeah, this year, a guy kept Priest and Longwell (our first keeper year). The guy won the league a couple of years ago and he loves football but as you know, football knowledge does not neccessarily translate into Fantasy Football knowledge. The commished asked him if he made a mistake and he said he had a strategy. We did not want to embaress him by making fun of the keep.

Well with that many keepers, sheez why not. I guess if he really doesn't like Westbrook it would be okay.

This situation is even more laughable now that Westbrook is THE MAN in Philly

Don't remember what post it was but in the last 2 weeks someone has listed their 3 keepers as blah, blah and Vanderjagt. Very odd.

depends on the scoring system...Vanderjagt is good for 120 pts

a good kicker can make a big difference....Vandy gets double digit points most weeks and that can be huge in a basic scoring system.

Don't underestimate a good kicker.....BUT a PK is still a PK RB's have much more value and if it's a ten team league there is not much difference between a #1 kicker and the #10 kicker. in a big league of 14 to 16 a good kicker can be a good advantage.
