Turley done for the year

-- Turley Lost for Season; Rams to Sign Nutten --
Fri Aug 20, 2004

KFNS 590 and KTRS's John Hadley reports St. Louis Rams OT Kyle Turley (back) won't play this year and is aiming to return in 2005. His back simply isn't responding to treatment. Meanwhile, retired OG Tom Nutten (ex-Ram) will take a physical today and report to practice after he's signed if he passes. Nutten had been an assistant coach in NFL Europe.

The line could be hurting a lot with this loss and Pace still holding out

Bulger is gonna to have his face in the turf MANY TIMES this year. And probably throwing more INTs to boot. Marshall Faulk could struggle, and maybe even Holt because Bulger won't be hitting his targets.

This hurts the entire Rams offence, that o-line is looking pretty shabby right now.

I thought th ey might dip anyways.....
Now they will surely suffer.
Faulk can't hold up to constant running.

Wow...the Lambs are really starting to look like they are fading into a rebuilding period of 2-3 years...Faulk wont make it through this year.....bruce is old, Bulger isnt totally proven....this sucks for Holt he is the only guy I think will be a viable option.

Any Ram's homers have any info about the strengths of the Ram's backup linemen? Is this going to be a plug and play line or do guys have set positions they fill in for? The loss of Turley hurts, but it hurts even worse if they have to shift someone out of their natural position to cover for him.

Wow. Where do we put Holt now? I had him 3rd behind Moss and Harrison but I think at least Owens has to slip back up to #3.
