Mornhinweg joins Eagles' coaching staff
March 3, 2003
PHILADELPHIA -- Marty Mornhinweg, fired in January as coach of the Detroit Lions, was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a senior assistant coach on Monday.
Mornhinweg was fired on Jan. 27 after compiling a 5-27 record in two seasons with Detroit.
"We are pleased to add Marty to our already fine coaching staff," said Eagles coach Andy Reid, who worked with Mornhinweg both in college and on the staff of the Green Bay Packers.
I guess your take on this depends on where you lay the blame.
The Ford family, Marty, Matt Millen or Barry Sanders.
5-27 is pretty grim in my book.
Personally, the Eagles just went down tad on my cheat sheet.
