He had a very good night Saturday. Does anyone here see him being the primary back/goalline back, and being a decent start?

Staley has never impressed me as an everydown back, and I wonder if he will remain a guy who is more of a pass receiver out of the backfield than a primary ball carrier?

I don't expect them to split the carries anywhere near 50/50, the Bus' engine is nearly dead IMO. Duce will carry most of the load this year.

i have been the unfortunate recipient of drafting the BUS over the past 3 years and all I can say is....I am glad its 2005. The wheels are bout to fall off for the BUS....Staley is da man in Pitt. The shitty thing is....the BUS might turn into a goalline vulture. ARgggggHHH!

It's Duce's job. Wouldn't expect more than 300 yards and 3-4 TD's from Bus (barring Duce injury).

In '02 and '03 I mercilessly ridiculed the owner that selected the broken Bus and I fully expect to do so again in '04 (unless he goes undrafted of course).

When runners start to go downhill they tend to go quickly and never return... power runners don't go downhill. They fall off a cliff.

Bettis has not been a good pick for years. When the Steelers gave him a 6 year deal a few years ago, I thought they were crazy.

I certainly don't see him getting many carries, but he could get 5 or 6 TDs on goaline duty, so he could be of some use as a late round pickup in TD-heavy leagues.
