League Setting Advice

Once again, I need some expert opinion and advice.

We are setting up a league and one of the guys wanted to have 4bonus points per touchdown that is over 39 yards passing. My question is, what would be be fair yardage for bonus points for rushing touchdowns. It was suggested to be the same (40+) but it does not seen right (QB\WR advantage over RBs).

What would be a good balance?

I would say at around 25 or 30 yds. You could probably get a statistical comparison somewhere of TD% over certain distances.

Well, IMO bonus should be given for runs or catches for 30+ yards.

Have had a quick look through the first 3 weeks of the season, and the stats are pretty skewed - around 15% (17/116) passing TDs were over 39 yds.

In the same period, only 4 rushing TDs out of 67 were over 39, and 2 of them were by Jamal Lewis in that game against the Browns.

If you're looking for parity between rushing and receiving, it's at about 15 yard TD's for rushing.

By the way, in that period, 34 of 67 rushing TDs were either 1 or 2 yds!
