What to do with Keenan?

Postby theimitator » Mon Aug 23, 2004 6:48 pm

I drafted Keenan in a Yahoo league, and now I'm getting nervous that no team will pick him up and he'll miss the opening games, if not the whole season. Reckon I ought to drop him for Calico, maybe, or hold onto him and hope he'll play somewhere (anywhere...come on!)? Thanks.

Just saw his interview on ESPN and he seems very angry and is willing to sit out the season. I would be panicking unless he is your backup stacked on the bench.

I agree - I don't see any end in sight for ol' Keenan. I don't get these guys - '02 they were talking about him having lost a step and he went to the Bucks and suprised people for one year and then wants to be paid like a guy whose been producing at that level for years. I thought contracts were supposed to be agreed to for a reason! At any rate - he'll be crying all season unless they can deal him somewhere, and I'm not sure who will want him right now - especially with Miami making the deal with Chicago.

Chicago is a place that could use his experience. I saw that interview too. He seemed pretty adamant about sitting out unless he got what he wanted.

I would not bother with him unless you have an open spot on you bench for a "just in case situation" If he goes to TB they have like 7 WR's there, and anywhere else he is going to be behind in learning. I'd pick up Calico, He will pass D. Bennett for the #2.

...by the way a deep sleeper could be Bobby Wade of Chicago who has been named the starter at Flanker now that Booker is gone. He and Terrell will really battle to see who will get the most balls thrown their way. And I haven't seen much out of him (Terrell) although they say that he is the number one guy now in Chicago.

I think gae is the definite #1 in chicago, but Mccardel would be a huge improvement over anyone else they got overthere. I am from Chi-Town and even I know we're doomed for the next 4 years (at least).
