The Vikings plan on replacing Smith with Moore for the time that Smith is out. His quickness and awareness is what impressed the Vikings coaching staff.
Initially, Tice called him the third down back, because of his versatility.
He played in 2 preseason games already, and his numbers were:
1st game v. Cardinals: 3 attempts for 52 yards and 1 TD.
2nd game v. Falcons: 7 attempts for 38 yards.
Now, the Vikings named him replacement for Smith, and there is a lot of talk going on about him lately within the Vikings training camp. His numbers look great.
He's one of my deep sleepers for a deep league of about 14 teams or more.
I've been seeing a lot of posts of people who are confused about what to do with Onterrio Smith.
For all of you who have Onterrio Smith and are worried because of his problem and don't know what to do with him, dropping him for Moore doesn't look like it's a bad idea until Smith returns, or until the Vikings decide what they are going to do with the situation.
Just an opinion...
