Tiebreakers for Playoffs

I think I'm going to use these 3 tiebreakers for our playoffs this year (reg season no tiebreakers used)...please rank...if you have better idea also add...thanks

1. Total touchdowns
2. Best Regular Season Record
3. Most points by QB, RB's and WR

Those sound fine; how to rank them is basically a matter of taste. Regular-season record works well if you'd like to add a home-field advantage feel.

Bench points is another fairly common one worth considering.

I dont like touchdowns. I got screwed by that last year. I ended up in a tie in the Semi-Finals and I lost cause of the TD yahoo rule. Would have won my league if it wastn for that

Bench points I dont know if I like either. There is a reason why teams have a bench.

Either way there is really no fair way of breaking a tie in the playofs.

I also got screwed by the yahoo tiebreaker last year...lost b/c of the 3rd tiebreaker...thanks for the feedback

just make sure all your leaguemates know now. otherwise there will be bitching about how someone got screwed over. if it is pre determind and everyone agrees, nobody can complain

I bet they'll bitch about it anyway, but you guys have to agree on something before the season starts.

I know I'd be pissed if I lost by one of these tiebreakers.

But I think the best one is using your bench scoring. I think solid depth should be rewarded.

I like the idea if two teams end up on the same record, then the team that has scored the more points throughout the yr goes through.

Some teams always get the bad luck. I hate it when ur the 2nd top scorer in any given week but u happened to play the team taht scored the most. That really sux.

The true way to determine who has the best team is to simply see which team scored the most points. The thing is its more fun to play in H2H leagues.

So in a tie breaker i think its fair to reward the higher scoring team.
