James Jackson is he worth a roster spot?

Postby tc » Tue Aug 24, 2004 12:50 pm

Is James Jackson worth grabbing hoping the Dolphins will trade for him and make him a starter? My backs are pretty weak, so I was thinking about grabbing him off the waiver, just incase he does get the start. what do you guys think? Didn't he have a few good games last year?

If you have an extra roster spot, definately pick up J Jackson and hope a trade is in the making. I am waiting for more concrete news on this issue before making a pick up because i cant afford to drop any players on rumor notes.

I added him to my roster with the hopes that the Phins{ or now even the Iggles would trade for him. If a trade doesn't go down I have a player to drop for my bye week D, K, TE.

Anticipating transactions helps a lot, he is definitely worth a roster spot if your team has ample room.

I heard the fins might also be interested in Verron Hayes or the other back-up RB in Pittsburgh (not Bettis). Jackson seems the best option to me, though. Heck, the Cards could use a guy, too.

FYI, Being a Cleveland fan I see James Jackson quite a bit. Apparently he' s in the best shape of his life, and has looked pretty good so far this preseason. That being said even if the Phins or Eagles acquire him I would say he's not better than a #4 fantasy back even if he starts. Thats a roster spot though.
