Who gets the catches for the Bolts?

Postby nymnbr1 » Tue Aug 24, 2004 7:32 pm

This is confusing to me? I don't think anyone can emerge to be a #1 or #2, but maybe one of them would be a good #3 WR or bench player. There is Kasim Osgood, who everyone thinks can emerge, Reche Caldwell, who everyone has labeled a sleeper to emerge last year, and kevin dyson who looks to be the most talented of the bunch but he was injured last year and is new on the team. can any one WR be at least a consistent #3?

i agree to stay away from the WRs, but antonio gates may make a suprisingly effective TE, for just that reason...

I agree with the above post about Eric Parker.... decent sleeper candidate perhaps bye week filler-

Other than that I've heard a lot of talk about osgood being this huge guy, but haven't seen him in action-

Brees is having a solid preseason- perhaps he can carry it over into the regular season while defenses have 8 in the box against LT2

Yep, that's the answer to that question. Gates and LT will get all the catches.

Who will catch SD's passes?
1. Tomlinson
2. Gates
3. Seattle Defense

Yeah, but if you absolutely had to pick the top WR in SD, who would it be? If you're in a 16 team league where you have to play 3 WRs, you have to start looking every where you can for a 4th and 5th.

Two SD WRs are ranked in ESPNs top 250:
160 - Kevin Dyson
189 - Reche Cardwell
Gates is at 165.

In their draft kit, ESPN lists Kassim Osgood as one of only 5 sleepers (Calico, Gage, D. Gabriel, Bryant Johnson):
Kassim Osgood, Chargers: Great length, quickness and sticky hands give him legitimate potential in San Diego's quick-hitting passing game.

Then again, each of the Patriot receivers will probably still get more looks than any of the SD WRs.
one for the thumb

Post your thread and I'll help you.

There's no definitive WR on the Chargers. Tbh, Dyson as a backup is kinda pushing it. LT and Gates will be the main focus of the offense.
