Ugh. I'm trying to set up my wireless receiver thing so I can play Madden online with my PS2. The model is a Linksys Wireless-B Game Adapter (Model No. WGA11B). I have it plugged in and everything, but when I go to setup, it says that the Wireless-B Game Adapter couldn't be found on the network. The rest of my wireless network consists of Netgear manufactured parts, but I don't think that should matter at all...any advice? In case it's important, the router I'm using is a Netgear MR814. I don't think it's a matter of signal strength either, since my PS2 is in the room next to the router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I posted this on baseball too, so maybe you guys could have a competition and see who helps me get it to work first!
It doesn't work with wireless. You're gonna need to run it with a wire. So, if you have a main computer with a hard wire, then it should work. You need to hook it up to the game adapter. Then, from Radio Shack or anywhere like that just get an ethernet wire long enough to connect to your ps2.. and then it should work.
Well it would work with wireless....if I could set the thing up. I think I'm just gonna scrap the wireless idea though, and get a lond cable like you said. I don't know how I'll be able to do it though, since the room with the PS2 is across the hall and I don't want a wire just running across the hall.
