Question about how I.R. works...

Postby PK55 » Wed Aug 25, 2004 12:31 pm

When an NFL team puts a player on I.R. do they get the roster spot plus the money that the player counted toward the cap to use in signing another FA?

In other words does I.R. also help teams that are strapped by the cap?

Thanks...

BTW...great forum...have at it experts!

PK55,

Thanks for your contribution. We'll consider your question as a topic for future debate. We have structured Great Debates each week (will be getting back into this routine within the next day or so). There is a Topic Suggestion section in the Great Debate forum for various questions you'd like to see talked about. I also moved this topic to the Fantasy Football Talk forum for quicker analysis (since this topic won't be touched until the next round of Great Debates at best).

Thanks and we look forward to hearing more from you at the Great Debates! ;-D

Yes and yes but it's costly because the player has to remain on IR all year.
