Where's Thomas Jones going?

Drafting Sunday, I think he could have a breakout year, Is 3rd round too early in a ten man league? Not so sure i'd feel comfortable having him as my second back?

Well, I'll be burned for this, but I am as far from a Jones supporter as you get. The O-line sucks and that means they won't give him a good push. The pass sucks which means there will be nothing to cover up the run and the D can just play a 8 man stack box which will get Jones at best 3 yards per carry. Jones will get MOST, but not all the caries as Thomas will still be ripping away a good 8-11 carries a game. I predicted Jones to have the worst stats out of any non-rookie full time starting runningbacks this year...but hey, thats just me...

Bold anti-prediction, nice. I don't see it that way... I was under the impression that the line had promise with Tait and others.

He went in the 5th in a 12, but my owners tend to undervalue RBs a bit.

He went in the late second in my 14 team league and in the 5th in my 10 team league. I'm also of the opinion that he'll be a serviceable #2 and good #3 RB, but I wouldn't rest my chances on him if there were better options. He went before Quentin Griffin in both leagues and I suspect Griffin will have a better year...if he remains the starter for the whole year. And that's a semi-big "if". Also flying low on people's radar is Chris Brown, who I think will be better than most people expect (but about the same as Jones in this case).

Id say hes a late 3rd early 4th rounder in a 12 team league

The 3rd round might not be good if you are not comfortable with having him as your #2. If you felt great about having him as your #2, you'd love him in the 3rd. But who else is there when that time rolls around? Who would you rather have C. Mart or Jones?? If you feel better with Martin, then stay away from jones.

I got Thomas Jones early 5th round in my league but the draft was 3 weeks ago.

So I predict Jones should be going around 3-4th rounds depending who needs a starting RB.

When it comes to RBs, the young potential stud is almost always better than the proven veteran loser.
