These are the fantastic WR to have as your #1
Moss
Harrison
Owens
Ward
Holt
CJ
The rest are decent. He is however a very nice #2.

WRONG!
It makes him a fantastic #1. How could you possibly argue he is only a great #2. Your braindead.

It's spelled "You're." You're braindead.

I like him as a reciever. I really like him if he returns kicks again next year. Anyone know if he will be returning kicks again this year?.

He'll probably continue to return Punts, but doesn't Rod Smart return kicks now?

My mistake. If he returns punts again this year, than I would consider him a good #1 WR.

That still makes no sense unless your league allows for KR yardage. If not, you're saying he's only a good #1 if he returns punts, which means he might get 1 extra TD on the season. Explain to me how that works.

The general consensus here seems to be that Smith makes a decent #1 reciever. I'm saying that if he is still returning punts, this would elevate his ranking in my eyes to the point where I think he will be a good #1 option. Obviously this assumes a league that counts return yards. I'm not saying his return yards are going to dominate games, just that they help, especially on weeks when he struggles as a WR.

Even if he returns a punt for a TD those points get allocated to the D/ST unit in most leagues. Most leagues don't score return yards. If anything being a punt returner makes him a riskier pick because of the injury risk.
