I think that fate is already sealed for a bunch of reasons...

1) Teams now have a better idea of how to prepare for Pennington

2) Martin is one year older

3) The rest of the AFC east is getting better...pending Spikes landing in Buffalo

wow!!

i knew that coles/jets were having probs but i didn't know it was this serious!! the jets shouldn't let him go, but i doubt there's much they can do to hold on to coles now...ah well...i guess spurrier is trying to corner the market and buy up other teams...i just didn't want to believe it....

we know cash can only do so much in this league...I don't think the Spurrier/Snyder connection can ever succeed because they are both insanely impatient and both seemingly incapable of building something for the long haul...

in college the playing field was level....every team needed to recruit and it happened that Spurrier had a relatively easy time of it since he was at a big name school...

in the NFL however you can't just plug in talent and hope for the best..you'd think the redskins would have learned this lesson by now

I don't discount the possibility that they have some success...even maybe win a super bowl, but a dynasty isn't happening with these two at the top

This is just what the Skins need a legeimate deep threat that also has no problem going over the middle. Coles is an unbelieveable player if not for his lack of height he would have been a 1st round draft pick. Coles has amazing leaping ability that makes up for any short comming he may have(no pun intended) :-) ;-D

I just kind of feel sorry for the Jets though all ther best players are leaving town :~(

but one teams lose is anothers gain!!!! ;-D

The Skins are like a bunch of Pirahna on FA feeding frenzy. I don't think Snyder can control himself. If he's not writing out checks every 12 hours he goes insane. I'm gonna send him my address. Maybe he'll write me one. :-)

Silly me.....I knew Coles was a restricted free agent this year, but really never gave any serious consideration to the Redskins trying to lure him to DC. Would be a great pickup in all honesty. The Skins have gone a long way to shore up their O-line which was weak last year, and Ramsey should have some time to look for the open receiver...hopefully that will be Coles. Would look to him to be the go to guy combining nicely with Gardner on the other side. A lot of Spurrier bashing going on 'round here. Hopefully the NFL competition will be as confident that Spurrier will fail. As far as dynasties go, it will be a long time before any one team dominates the NFL. Parity prevails. Even the ones that see the playoffs every year tend to benefit from a less than average division. Anyway, Coles is worth a #13 overall pick in my book. Will he lead them to the Super Bowl this year by himself? Nah, that takes a team to accomplish, but he sure would be a nice addition.
