Mike Anderson to Miami?

Postby Bay_City_Bashers » Thu Aug 26, 2004 11:14 am

Anyone hear news on this? I dropped my backup K M.Andersen for M.Anderson on his way to Miami, but am now getting nervous. No way Williams will play this year, so is it Anderson or Bettis or Hambrick or what?

The last story I've heard was that the Phins{ were interested in 10 RBs. Basically they're trying to play it close to the vest. Minor has disappointed and the Anderson just had a great game...showcasing by the Broncos perhaps? Anderson would be the type of back the Wannstedt wants, a no nonsense straight ahead power back. It would be a good fit. Look to see if they give him lots of carries against the Texans tomorrow, they might be trying to drive up the price.

Was it really necessary to bump this thread after 9 minutes?

Miami will be interested in whoever they can get cheaply. Can't say I blame them.

Anderson is just one of many they are considering.

I have recently read that the RB they are primarily focusing on is J. Jackson in Cleveland.
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!

I hope Miami gets The Bus. Not only would it honestly be cool to see him be a main back again, but it'll be amusing to see the thousands of devilish grins at Gilette Stadium. ;-)

Actually, ESPN is reporting that In a recent conversation Ricky Williams did not rule out playing this year. Don't forget, he claimed he failed the drug test not the league. He took his time off, smoked his pot and now he is getting antsy eating cat and dog in asia. Even the munchies can't make that too appetizing.
I hope he does come back cause i just grabbed him off the wire and stashed him away. Maybe this is why Miami hasn't traded for a RB yet.
