The battle over the Seahawks' starting tight end job appears to have been won by Jerramy Stevens, according to the Seattle Times. The third-year player has moved ahead of incumbent starter Itula Mili on the team depth chart and is expected to start in week one of the regular season.

Seahawks' quarterback Matt Hasselbeck endorsed Stevens recently by calling him the most impressive player he saw during training camp. Mili will still factor into the offense when the team uses two tight end sets.
