Go & find some pics you like & make them into avatars.I never found much of a selection when just searching for avs.

I use WindowsXP paintshop & have been messing with Photoshop7.I've found that .gif format is smaller with file sizes & easier to work with.You can also link to a pic online as your avatar.Insert the link between [img] & [/img] where you change your av.Pics from sites like geocities & angelfire die quickly though,you need to find one that will stick.
