are you serious?

Football in Carolina is a lot different from the rest of the world. The panthers are putting out shirts that read "rematch" for the preseason game against the patriots this Sunday.

"If you think it's just a preseason game, you're mistaken," defensive tackle Brentson Buckner said. "It's going to be a war.
"It'll be like the Super Bowl we just played in."

Now I realize that starters play more and more as the preseason goes on. But I still can't believe they think this is a "war".

To thier defense, I know when the Red Sox played the Yankees this preseason, their were probably some chants of yankee's suck. But everyone knew it didn't count for anything, and it certainly wasn't called a rematch of the last postseason series.

Let's say you went fishing and had the biggest fish available on your line. You picture it mounted on a plaque above your mantle as you fight it...then,it gets away.

Wouldn't you still wanna land it next time, even if this time it was "catch and release"?

First off, the game's on Saturday, not Sunday :-P

And HELL yes we want that rematch. We're not going to be able to see NE in the regular season. You expect us to treat our ONLY chance at revenge as a meager walk in the park, a simple "get your guys some PT and get out alive?" NO. We want NE whenever we can get em. No excuse to take the preseason lightly - it's still football, and it's still big time ;-D

I feel for Carolina. After the Pats defeated the Rams, :-P (typing that sickens me), I thristed for revenge on the Pats.

I can't wait til they get a shot to play them this year. }:-)

oh iron, when will you admit that the patriots are the best. and I can see how the panthers want revenge. and it does mean something. sure its not a trophy or ring, its pride. the panthers probabaly felt like they hsould have one that game, and now theyve had 6 months to think about it. is it on tv?

I dont think its too early for the first paperbag challenge of the year. my predictions. bulger throws 3 td passes. 1 to ty law, 1 to rosevelt colvin and 1 to asante samuels. faulk rushes 12 times for 1 yard. holt and bruce are seen on th sidelines crying.
