The Vikings agreed to terms March 12 with free agent cornerback Denard Walker, who had been with Denver. Minnesota's pass defense has been among the worst in the league the last three seasons, and coach Mike Tice has declared it a priority this offseason to upgrade at conrnerback. Terms of Walker's deal weren't immediately announced. The Vikings had hoped to sign former Oakland cornerback Tory James but weren't willing to pay as much as Cincinnati, which gave him a four-year, $14.4 million contract this past week. ---ESPN via the Vikes home page
This is huge for Minnesota. The secondary here has been horrendous for the past couple of years, and it's nice to see somebody actually address it.
