Kordell & his agent better get on it before there's no payday! The way I'm hearing it from Steeler fans.

"Chicago media is reporting that Chicago has given Leigh Steinberg until Thursday to accept da Bears offer.
Bears GM said there is one starting opening left in the NFL and hopefully Kordell and his agent can do the math !!
Bears GM stated he is approaching the league about talking to Brian Griese - who's officially under contract with DENVER. Chicago GM wants the NFL to bend the rules because he said it's obvious Griese will be released June 1st."

"Bottom line: Kordell and his agent have a very short time to sign or be left holding an empty bag."

Since I don't see Stewart as a starter, I guess it won't matter if he takes Chicago's offer or not!!

I think Griese should get the nod in Chicago, but the wind there may knock him down a few times!

Either Stewart or Griese would be an upgrade to Chicago. They can't go wrong.

If Kordell thinks he had it rough in Pittsburgh - Chicago will eat him alive.
This a bad move on the Bears' part. And Kordell's.

The Bears have the #4 pick in the draft and Marshall's Byron Leftwich would be the perfect pick. Any guy that refuses to leave the field, and has his offensive linemen carry him onto the field, belongs in Chicago.

And I don't see Kordell in some sort of mentoring role.
Last time I checked, Kordell needed the mentor.

My 2 cents, anyway.

Ageed that Leftwich we be a great PICK for the Bears, but unless they want to throw him to the wolves right away, they may want him to sit and watch a year...maybe get some experience under his belt. That's were Kordell comes in. He starts. He provides the Bears a) with a better chance to win b) mentor to Leftwich. I disagree and think Kordell would be good for them.
