The Steelers have a chance to lead the league in scoring this year.

Here is why I like the Steelers players this year in fantasy football

Tommy Maddox- Has great wr and unlike more teams they have one of the best 3rd down wr in the game with Randal El. The steelers will focus more on the run this year but does anyone remember the mid 1990's when the Lions had a 1000yd rusher, 2-1000yd wr and a 4000yd QB? Well I see Pittsburgh having the ability to do it this year.

Duce Staley-With the Bus nearing 300,000 miles it is time for the younger Duce Staley to step in and drive. The O Line is much better this year even after the injury to K Simmons. Look for 1200yds from Duce along with 8TD's. What will really help you is if your league has points for receptions.

Hines Ward- I don't have to go on about this guy. What he has done in the last three years is proof enough. Can you name one WR with more catches in the past three years than Hines? Didn't think so.

Plexiglass Burress-Contract year. The buzz out of camp is that his attitude is great. he is workingharder this year than n the past. This could be the beginning of a kid who is just starting to really mature and realize his skills. This new chuck rule will allow him to put up BIG BIG numbers this year.

Big Ben- Arguably the best QB this year that isnt a pedigree. If you are in a keeper league he is going to be the man next year. Look for the Steelers to trade Maddox next year and Ben will step in. There is a 90% chance barring injury that he wont start this year.

Now I gather alot of this info by having the luxury of going to Training Camp a couple of times a week and also being friends with a few guys in the organization. These guys are really excited this year and should do well on offense.

The O-Line is the key and the Defense needs to step up because that is our weakest link right now

I can see it happening. It all starts with the O-line opening holes and giving the WRs enough time to run the routes. I heard last year the WRs were cutting short the routes b/c of this.

Is this O-line that much better? That is the question. Tell me how it's better and I'll tell you if this is just preseason optimism or a valid point.
