It depends on your circumstances:

1) If the player you have already drafted or have highly ranked on you draft list is not having a good preseason, you say that the preseason is meaningless and they are just not using him enough and not putting him out with the first team and they are saving him for the regular season rather than wear him out now

2) If the player you have already drafted or have highly ranked on your draft list is having a great preseason, you say that is proof of your great wisdom that he is going to have an incredible season because of the importance that must be placed on the preseason stats and this is surely a sign of great things to come.

Preseason is some cases can be overblown, but other times can be very indicative of what to expect in the season.

Differentiating these two is the real challenge.
