Bouman to Horn/Pathon/Stallworth.

From TSN:
Todd Bouman - QB, Minnesota Vikings March 13, 11:02 a.m.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that the Vikings have agreed to trade Bouman to the Saints for a sixth-round pick. Bouman will take over the backup quarterback spot from Jake Delhomme, who signed with Carolina.

Hey,watch the waiver wire when/if Brooks' shoulder should be a problem again!

Good News.

I thought Bouman would be worth more than a 6th rounder, but guess not!

Bouman is a very serviceable backup he has a good arm and he is a good descision maker and he is pretty mobile IF Brooks goes down grab him quick he will be able to put up good #'s

Yeah Bouman is a decent back if Brooks goes down. There were a ton of people this year here, who were screaming to let him start a game or two so CPepp could screw his head on straight. It didn't happen, but I wouldn't have lost any sleep if he was going to.

Also I don't know if this is common knowledge 'cause I don't see much about it anywhere, but this winter in Minnesota there was a charity event held by the Vikes. During the day it was all about the kids, and doing good works, and signing autographs and such. At night it when all the kiddies were sleeping or in bed, it became a big drunken frat party. Anyways there was a woman who came forward who said she was raped. There was a lot of speculation as to who was "allegedly" responsible, and Bouman's name finally came up. He hasn't been formally charged with anything, but I do believe he has been asked for DNA samples.

So basically it will be interesting to see what happens with him. Will he be wearing a Saints uniform or a prison uniform next year? I'm sure the Saints know about it, which leads me to believe that they may know something the rest of us in Minny do not. Otherwise why would they even waste a 6th round pick for him?

he is a good pickup to back up brooks this year, like rook said he did fairly well last season.

this off the field news is something to keep on eye on.

He will be very good if he has to come in for brooks. The line in New orleans is greeat, they have an awesome RB, and one of the best threesomes of WR in the league. He is a very capable backup.

Anyone here familiar with ESPN.com's Ewing Theory? Key player on a team goes down, backup comes in and the team does better than expected...

A la Patrick Ewing...

Anyway, my Ewing Theory this year has got to be NO....Brooks goes down, Bouman does just what he has to, nothing more and the team goes gangbusters.
