Jon Kitna

This very well may be the biggest who-gives-a-damn post of all time, but here goes anyway.
I have to admit - I'm a closet Jon Kitna fan.
It's true!

I saw Kitna play for the Barcelona Dragons, and was convinced, convinced(!) that this guy was going to be an NFL SuperStar.
Unbelievable arm. A true pocket passer with smarts.

I could not believe what happened to him in Seattle.
TO THIS DAY I am convinced that Mike Holmgren 100% got into this guy's head and ruined what could have been a great career.
Holmgren hated this guy, because he wasn't "his" guy (unlike Matt Hasselbeck) and basically ran him out of town all the way to Cincinnati - where - let's face it - it's tuff for a QB - any QB - to make a living.

So. I guess my question is.
Is there any hope for Jon Kitna?
Is he really a bust?
Or just the ultimate victim of circumstance?
Call me crazy. I STILL like the guy.

lol kitna lover! kitna lover!

i agree that he has some talent... he looked good at times with cincy last year (which is hard to do). however his name, when mentioned in serious conversation, will still make people snicker as long as hes wearing black and orange...

Yea. This is sorta like Jake Plummer.
How can you tell what a QBs really got when you're talking about Arizona, Seattle and Cincinnati?
Even if you love the Cards, Hawks and Bengals, you must admit. It's a hard row to hoe.

2 predictions:

1) Plummer wins a Super Bowl in Denver
2) Lewis turns the Bengals around and Kitna gets to showcase some of that talent.

I also had Kitna on my roster near the end of the season and he

did very well for me!! I think if they leave him alone and let his

confidence build he will do awesome!!
