TE question

Postby GMoney » Mon Aug 30, 2004 6:13 pm

Kleinsasser (we all know thois guy is gonna get about 450 and 4, but that is the limit to his potential.....isnt it?)

vs.

Eric Johnson - Hasnt played a full season since his rookie year. Every single year the niners talk about how much they love this guy... before he gets injured. Last yeard even Jed Weaver got 400 and 3 and he has far less talent. If johnson can stay healthy is he a better TE with a chance to break the top 10?

since i have 0 responces and am at the bottom of the page i thought id give this a bump...

i know TEs arent as exciting as talking about LT and Holmes, they are at least as important to winning the league title.

not a good fantasy TE, they use him as a blocker 70% of the time. I'd look for Whitten if he is available in your league.

I'd take Kleinsasser over Johnson.

im looking for someone with potential to break out... im willing to take a risk since, well 400 and 4 aint much to lose.

what about a DET TE? Alexander is the playmaker.. will he get enough time over fitzsimmonds?

i think e johnson and witten will be top 15 te's this year.

sf will need their te more this year in their passing game and johnsom is the man this year in sf.

witten will be used allot by parcells like he did when he coached the giants, but witten has the softest hands of any te's parcells ever had.

another te you might look at is stephen alexander.

based on kliensasser's stats from last year and what is available in your league, i think that is the best and safest thing you can do

Id say using Kelinsassers stats from last yr would be a mistake. For one - you have to consider he was injured most of the yr - even when he played he wasy playing injured often. I think his upside is higher that 450 and 4.

Take Kleinsasser and be happy about it.

If all those TEs are gone, Klein is the best available by far.
