Hambrick to be released?

HAMBRICK WALKS OUT ON RAIDERS

A league source tells us that running back Troy Hambrick, frustrated by the fact that he wasn't slated to be the starting running back in Oakland, walked out of camp on Monday.

Per the source, Hambrick will now be released by the Raiders.

Look for Hambrick to draw immediate interest from the Dolphins, who are starved for running backs. Another possibility is Philadelphia, where the Eagles lost Correll Buckhalter a week or so ago.

The winner in this one might be running back Amos Zereoue, who might have been on the bubble with Hambrick, Ty Wheatley, and Justin Fargas on the depth chart.

Raiders: Good because you're fired anyway.

If you listen to Hambrick talk, you would think he is one of the top Rbs in the league. If you watch Hambrick play, you know he is one of the worst.

So true. Like when he wanted Emmitt to get lost because it was his "time to shine." Fat Hambone runs into the OL and then falls down everytime.

hambrick is a fatman with a tailback mentality, not a good combination.

LOL I was thinkin of the FedEx commercial too. :-D

Why the hell does Hambrick expect himself to be the starter? :-?

I dont really know how many carries a game he would have got anyway, so this doesn't effect the Oakland RBs much.

But is he worth adding in hopes he goes to Miami?

First of all, despite the void left by Ricky Williams, I doubt Wannstedt will entertain the attitude or pocketbook of Hambrick.
My guess is, that Dave is more interested in the potential backs that will be available when teams make their final cuts...

A plan much cheaper, less problematic...and with more potential upside.

Bottom line ......Hambrick simply screwed himself.
