TE Help!

Postby jm » Tue Aug 31, 2004 8:07 am

I drafted Mili as my backup TE. I have shockey as my #1. The day after my draft I heard that Mili was #2 on Seattles Depth chart. I checked Seattles official site and they still have him as the #1 TE.

Can anyone confirm for sure that he (Mili) is the #2 TE now. If so, I need to pick another back-up for shockey in-case he does not play the first game.

Thanks,
jm

Word around here is Jerrmay Stevens is the new no. 1 in Seattle. Mili will still see time so you don't necessarily have to pick up someone else. Then again, you can probably find some full time starters on the WW.

I'd venture to say that there are better options available out there than Mili. Who are some of the TE's available?

You have no business carrying a backup TE, anyways... Drop Mili and pick up a sleeper... I'd drop Mili in a second for Darrius Watts or, for week one, Moe Williams...

The way my league works is we are required to have two TE's that is why I have a backup. We must play a TE every week.

I already have Moe as a utility.

Any suggestion on who I should take in Mili's place.

QB-Pennington
RB-Holmes
RB-Barlow
WR-T.O.
WR-Mason
TE-Shockey
K-Stover

BENCH
QB-B. Johnson
QB-Carr
RB-S. Davis
RB-TJ Duckett
RB-Moe Williams
WR-Chambers
WR-McCairens
TE-Mili
K-Feely

Welcome to the Cafe jm ;-D

What TEs are available?

Des Clark might be a good one to get - same with Kleinsasser.

Not to toss a harp on a dead horse, but I'd read your league rules very carefully. Most that require you to draft a certain number of spots don't require you to carry them on your roster at all times. That is sort of done to make everyone even to start the season, and you don't have one a** picking up 7 RBs.

If you only need to play one TE every week why not just pick one up during your starter's bye week?

Anyways, there is most likely a good crop of talent available. Joens gets disrespected sometimes and he is often available off free agency. I have been targeting Des Clark, I expect the Bears to utilize him a lot this year.
