A-Train...

Postby bryan1327 » Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:25 am

I have heard rumor that Miami is now talking to Chicago, again, about A-Train coming there in a trade. I know in the Cleveland papers up here Jackson, of the Browns, wants out and is asking a trade to Miami..But Miami wants a bigger back...A-Train fits that mold more then Jackson..That is what the talk shows on the radio are saying also..

Has any one else heard anything about this?

I have not but it wouldn't suprise me. However - behind that line, A-Train will not be a good pick anyway. He is not nimble enough to avoid tacklers and the line sucks so bad, he would have to avoid A LOT of tacklers.

I think it's kind of funny having seen A-train all of last year. The guy is not a power back. He's horrendous is goal-line situations and flops on first contact.

I'd go with Jackson. Who's the better receiver out of the backfield.

I heard the same thing, I think it was Jaws or Mortenson that had this report. Apparently the Bears might entertain getting their 3rd rd. pick back from the Phins for the Train. At any rate, it was mentioned that something should happen this week.

i would love to see atrain go to miami. i don't care how bad you guys think atrain is... the fact is he put up 1000 yards on the ground in less than a full season last year! it would give miami some viable threat at rb.

this is the first i have heard of this, but it makes sense. the browns want more (3rd round pick) then they feel jackson is worth and rightfully so. there is a reason jackson is the 3rd string back in cleveland. what has he proven... nothing.

also, the lines of communication are already open from the booker/ogonyule trade. if a third round pick is what teams are looking for from miami for a rb, atrain has been the first name that would warrant that trade imho.

I don't know if this deal will go down, I would think that in their last trade they would have gone for Thomas if they were really interested.
