Emmit Smith fantasy value

Postby crimsonrebel » Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:29 am

I'm not hearing any talk about Emmit this year. I picked him up in the 7th round of a 16 team league as a #4 RB. Since I'll be starting 3 rbs this year because of the flex position, I think i got a steal. Am I missing something? Has there been any talk about him sharing time with Scobey, or is AZ's rushing game going to be that bad regardless? My thoughts were that with Boldin injured, they'll be running the ball a little bit more.

E. Smith question

Postby kvnhbbrd » Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:32 am

E.Smith will be good 2nd or 3rd RB this year. He is getting older and will not put up starter numbers.
Good luck and high scores

Emmitt has a lot of potential to go far in this league. But I don't think this is his year. He has NO fantasy value.

A good 2nd RB? I'm sorry but Emmitt is no longer starter quality. He is worth owning, but don't expect much, and he is 4th RB material right now. Scobey or Anderson will see time if he falters or gets injured.

I'm in a 12 team league, and have no plans to draft Emmitt Smith at any point in the draft.

Emmitt is an emergency "Oh shit, I forgot about my stud RB's bye week" starter.
Vengeance is mine.

Emmitt will be my 'what? Faulk isn't injured yet RB'

Hopefully I won't need to use him. Ever. But, I needed a starting RB for the bye week just in case Jackson was not getting many carries each game, regardless of Faulk injuries..
