I just bought into the hype and drafted him in my 10 team office league.

He's my 5th RB behind Lewis, Taylor, DD and Staley (we start 2 RB's and have 4 flex)

Is he a suitable 5th RB? And yes he was the best of the bunch left. He is going to see time right?

I'd think so. I think they may use Barber as more of a slot WR/RB and give Dayne the yards on the ground. Really not sure, never know with Coughlin, i mean he just named the QB yesterday, so you just gotta hold on to see what happens.

I think you're fine with him as your 5th. He has looked pretty good in preseason and Caughlin likes his power backs.

Dayne is my fourth RB basically. The Giants seem to be giving him the chance to make some noise so why not take a shot.

Remember, though, that the Giants have a pretty tough running schedule this year. Not that it makes a major difference, but he'll have multiple games against the Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, among others.

For some reason Coughlin has a hard-on for Dayne, and I have no idea why. Dayne is a horse who thinks he is an outside runner. IMO, there is a speed threshhold in the NFL for RBs, and Dayne is below it. He was fast enough to get outside in college, but not the NFL. Still, if Coughlin is enamored by him I suppose he is worth a late roster spot.
Vengeance is mine.
