trade advice?

Postby pokerboss » Tue Sep 10, 2002 9:21 pm

my lineup is currently as follows: qb-culpepper

ti brown

i have been offered a trade of gannon, f taylor, and j horn for culpepper, e smith, chambers, and mason.

that would make my lineup (flexible lineup league)

qb- gannon

wr-ti brown

any thoughts on the deal or my team would be appreciated. thanks

It's a close call.I mean a flip-a-coin type deal. But if it was me,I wouldn't take it and check out the FA market for a quality RB and a decent WR.

mmm... looks appealing.... Culpepper - Gannon is a wash... Fred Taylor is a better pickup than Emmitt.... and J. Horn is worthy of Chambers and Mason.... However I have never been a big fan of trading away more players than you receive. Can you work the other team for another WR? IF you can i would seriously think about it. If you are in a league with more than 10 teams the waiver wire is pretty thin these days in regards to RB's and WR's, so you may want to take it.

C-Pep is way better than Gannon. I would not do this trade. I would instead try and pry away Taylor for Emmit and a WR or TE.

i wouldnt do this trade for the simple fact of yes your getting joe horn who is awesome but you lose all of your depth at WR for him and what are you going to do for the bye weeks?

also trading emmit for taylor is ok but they both have about a 10-20% chance of finishing the season fragile freddy will get hurt are you prepared for that?

then giving up culpepper for gannon honestly isnt that good of an idea because culpepper scrambles which = points but they are close

id say you must get another WR to make the deal worth it your losing 2 1000 yrd WR for joe horn and without a least another player the point just dont add up
