Lelie assured of not losing his starting job......

Ashley Lelie - WR - Broncos

Denver coaches have assured Ashley Lelie that he's in no danger of losing his starting job.

Lelie has been outshined by rookie Darius Watts during the preseason, but it's still the preseason. Jake Plummer and co. are counting on Lelie emerging as a 1,000 yard threat in his third season. Aug. 31 - 4:19 pm et

Sounds like the Denver coaches will leave Lelie there even if he stinks up the joint...

Can anyone see Lelie getting 1,000 yards? Cause I for sure cant

Sounds like more Shanahan-speak...he'll play if he earns the job, but it isn't like he's Jerry Rice and gets the job out of respect.

Watts will have his job by Week 3 AT THE LATEST and 1000 yards by the end of the season.

Yes, Lelie will start. Don't let all this hype confuse you. Watts has a *chance* to start and do a decent job.

If Peter King says Jake Plummer will have an MVP type season, then I'm ALL ABOUT Lelie at this point.

Read this and you'll know that Lelie's job is secure...at least for now:

That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!

the NFL is a WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY business, and if Lelie doesn't produce, he will find himself on the bench very shortly, I don't care if the coach gives him false job security.

I actually have them both in one of my deeper leagues. I drafted Watts with my last pick and somebody dropped Lelie so I picked him up. Figured I'd give it a few weeks and see who is doing better.
