Sportsline.com does it by adding up the following numbers:
1. Your record, with 12 (for your league at least) being the best record and 1 being the worst.
2. Your points total for the season, again with the most getting 12 and the least getting 1.
3. Your record breakdown. This one is a little tricky. It's what your team's record would have been had you played every team each week. So after week 1 you'll have a record that adds up to 11 (since you can't play your own team) like 6-5 or 9-2 or 0-11.
ties are the average of the spots not taken and averaged out. #3 would kind of be a pain in the ass but otherwise it's an interesting system.
