I know in an earlier post someone mentioned that Plexico Burress might go to KC, and recently I heard that Keenan might get traded there. Does anyone know about this, and or have any current information.

Vermeil is not interested in McCardell.

"Associated Press reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil said the team is not interested in trying to acquire holdout WR Keenan McCardell, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers."

I don't think Gruden is either at this point

Was this before or after Marc Boerighter (?) got hurt and is out for the season? They need another receiver bad with Morton hurt and Boe out for season.

It was after Boe was hurt....

Here is how it stands here in KC:

-Morton, all of a sudden that Boe is out, has "recovered" and will more than likely start @ Denver on the 12th

-Boe had surgery today and was IRed this afternoon

-McCardell isnt a Peterson-Vermeil type of guy. He is holding out for that last big contract. DV doesnt like how Morton conducts himself, so I knwo he wont like KM. I know Welbourn was a holdout case sort of, but they thought he was justified in that. The current regime, as opposed to the Schottenheimer era, judge a players character almost more than his talent.

-Boe had 11 catches last year....not much we lose....so with Morton back we dont have a need @ WR....we already have the #1 Offense. Drafting Kris Wilson is enough......we dont need WR, we need MLB and CB.

-The irony of this is that KC picked Morton over KM in 2002....KM was THIS close to being Chief then.

-It will be the same WR as last year..>Kennison, Morton, Dante Hall, Samie Parker, Chris Horn and RIchard Smith....Parker and Smith are rooks.

I picked up McCardell in the 14th round as a back up WR.. how long is it wise to hang on to him? Any insights on his contract being finalized.. or will he sit out the year? Trying to figure out when to cut him loose and pick up another WR...
