Why not score on the fractions?

So in a nut-shell, basically a RB that runs for 15 yards =1.5
should not earn more then a back that ran for 10 yards?

Makes no sense to me. I'm commish in my league. And fractional points are a must.

Odd that no one seems to mind winning by .25 of a point... I can not think of a good reason not to have fractional points...
