What you may not have noticed last year(LT)

Postby json929 » Wed Sep 01, 2004 4:16 pm

What to make of this?

Wk1=13carries for 35 yards(2.6) and 0 Td's

Wk2=16carries for 93 yards and 0 Td's

Wk5=10carries for 38 yards(3.8) and 0 Td's

Wk7=24carries for 62 yards(2.6) and 1 Td's

Wk8=16carries for 61 yards(3.8) and 1 Td's

Wk10=8carries for 29 yards(3.6) and 0 Td's

Wk13=25carries for 88 yards(3.5) and 0 Td's

Wk14=20carries for 51 yards(2.6) and 0 Td's

He had an awful lot of terrible games and yet he was a fantasy stud last year.

A couple of those weeks he had ridiculous receiving numbers. In think in weeks 13 and 14 he had something like 300 yards receiving and 4 TDs.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but it sounds like LT2. He was pretty inconsistant, but like Vlad says, you're not including receiving stats.

Edit: Alright, sorry. I didn't see LT in the title of the thread. I thought this was a "who is this?" thread.

Yep...

Week 13- 236 total yards and 2 TD's
Week 14- 195 total yards and 2 TD's

And in almost all the others, he had 30+ yards receiving.

I have Tomlinson #4 on my draft board because the Chargers may be even worse this year. I would take Green or Alexander ahead of him. Defenses have no concern but LT in this offensive (and I do mean offensive) scheme.

Green is a legitimate argument, but I don't think SA is. SA scores TDs with LT2 and Green, but his yardage numbers don't compare.

pfff, tell me about it, i had LT last year and had to suffer through that. i felt that alot of LT's TDs came on some long runs. that's why i don't want the top 2 picks due to ?s on both top 2 rbs (lt/priest)

2003 - 2370 combined yards and 17 touchdowns.
2002 - 2172 combined yards and 16 touchdowns.
2001 - 1603 combined yards and 10 touchdowns.

Make all the excuses in the world you want, even Peter King knows this guy should be your #1 or #2 pick (actually he doesn't...but I need someone lame to put in here).

And when has San Diego ever been good enough to support a RB like this? Why is this year different all of a sudden?

You people crack me up.
