James Jackson ???

Postby ConTender » Wed Sep 01, 2004 7:03 pm

Any news on this guy? I think Cleveland should stop being greedy and playing games with someones career. Let the guy go, they are asking for a third round pick for him. Seems kinda high for someone they are sitting on the bench 3rd in line. I think dolphins need to pick him up, but maybe for a 4th rounder.

Anyone else have 2 cents on this subject?

Yeah, I just don't see what the delay is. Why waste the player when that team has more to gain by dealing him. I just dropped my last pick of my draft who was Warrick Dunn for him. Just a gut feeling I have that he will go somewhere like miami.

I think the gamble is better than Dunn on my roster.

No, that gamble isn't any better. Trust me Jackson is worth owning but Dunn is a quality back. Maybe not a starter, but he adds nice depth and is a huge steal as your last round pick.

Can you pick Dunn back up? Even if Jackson lands in Miami he's going to have trouble with that infamous offensive line they have-

Warrick Dunn lasted until the last round and is on waivers? Yikes...

I don't think Miami should give up its third rounder for Jackson. There are other guys available who would put up comparable numbers to him (since when has this guy become an uber-stud wasting away on the bench?).

I've read that Miami is looking at signing Lamar Smith if New Orleans releases him. Plus, if they wait a year, Edgerrin James will be available (among other more talented individuals) - and it sounds like Edge wouldn't mind coming home. Why waste a high pick on a one year starter? ...unless they think they'll instantly be contenders again with James Jackson at starting RB or something...

I know that Dunn is a quality back, for yardage anyway. Evaluate my team. I don't think that I need him.

QB's
Jake Plummer
David Carr

RB's
Corey Dillon
Michael Bennett
Quentin Griffin, hand cuff T. Bell
Willis Mcgahee
Tyrone Wheatley-picked from waivers

WR's
Randy Moss
Derek Mason
Jimmy Smith

Defense is NEW ENGLAND, Kicker is AKers & TE is Crumpler

I could drop J. Jackson for the following I have been eye balling

* Darius Watts
*Greg Jones -- Fragile freddy will miss some games.
*Reggie Williams

Whaddya Think?
