Yeah I know, fascinating post. Still, I picked my kicker last in a 14 team draft and by looking at the league settings it appears that kickers will be heavily penalized for missing anything.

I have Jay Feely, but are there other low level kickers out there who will have an accurate kick?

Jason Hanson in DET and this isnt because Im a Lions Homer - the guy is easily one of the most talented Ks in the NFL, he plays inside, and the Lions O will be much better than last yr.

The team should be much improved this year, and check out these 2003 stats:

extra points: 26 of 27 = 96.3%
field goals: 22 of 23 = 95.7%

Field goal accuracy by distance:

20-29 yards: 7 of 7
30-39 yards: 6 of 6
40-49 yards: 5 of 6
50+ yards: 4 of 4

Longest field goal last season: 54 yards...

I posted a similar question a while back, as I'm in a league that penalizes for missed field goals AND we have to start two kickers (guess what position the commissioner played in college. ;-)

Someone suggested I look at Graham in CIN. Waaaay under the radar as far as I can tell, and seems to be a good kicker.

Still, go with Hanson first, but Graham isn't a bad guy to keep an eye on.

Paul Edinger is a decent option for an underrated kicker.
