The Lonesome Kicker...

Probably the hardest thing in the world is to predict how mediocre kickers will fair in a season. We all know about the Vanderjagts and Wilkins of the fantasy world. However, the following kickers have gone undrafted in a number of leagues. How would you rank them -- including in your rankings both their situation and their ability...

J. Carney, NO
S. Janikowski, OAK
M. Gramatica, TB
J. Feely, ATL
J. Hanson, DET
J. Reed, PIT
S. Graham, CIN
B. Conway, MIN
P. Dawson, CLE
P. Edinger, CHI
R. Lindell, BUF
J. Scobee, JAX

How many of these guys would you feel confident in as your main kicker?

I'm a Graham fan. Wish I could give you some inside gouge, but honestly I don't study up much on kickers. I just know that he was recommended to me by a trusted resource in the middle of last season and he was a consistent scorer. I just like that the Bengals appeared to have faith in sending him out there for longer kicks and he put a lot of them through. Not the most accurate in the league, but he made 17 from greater than 30 yards. I'm drafting him when Wilkins/Vandy don't fall into my lap.

Neil Rackers! Man, did you see him last night? 3 FGs over 40 yards and one 57 yarder! Now there's a sleeper for ya!

Unless Rackers can start hitting 70 to 80-yard FG, I'll go with other options. I don't think the Cardinals will be breaking the fifty yard line enough to give him enough chances to be effective

Feely was a monster the year before last year. Accurate, kicked tons of long balls... if he returns to form he can be nasty.

Jason Hanson. DET will move the ball a lot better this year, getting him more chances. He doesn't miss.
