You can't go home again

Actually, I think this would be a good move for New England. Davey has looked a little less than savory this preseason. Even at his age, Flutie would be more servicable of a backup than Davey or Miller, who they recently released.

yeah not a bad move. SD doesnt really need him b/c Brees has been looking very good this preseason.

Although I would have thought they would want that veteran on the team to help Rivers learn.

That would be awesome! Bring back the hometown hero!

Veteran presense would be welcome, and though he's not as quick as he used to be, I'd feel more confident with Flutie in the game than either of those other two backup buttheads.

I should first mention that I would love to have Flutie become the Patriots backup, but I do have some news on this front. Remember, I am just delivering the news, you can take it for what it's worth....

On my way home from work I was listening to the local sports radio and Belicheck was a guest on the show. Among other questions, they asked him about the Flutie rumor. His response was.....

"That's the first I've heard about it. "

I thought Davey was having a solid enough preseason. Perhaps not?

I believe he was inconsistent.

I remember KG commenting on how terrible Rohan looked halfway through a game, but later someone else was talking about how great he did (from a 2nd half perspective).

Flutie is the man, id like to see him go to NE as much as i hope he starts in SD. I hope this deal goes through for his sake, and i hope the chargers get something out of it.
