Edgerrin James sat out tonight with what coach Tony Dungy called "one of those mysterious preseason injuries that happens about five minutes before gametime."
James just didn't want to play. He never does in the preseason.
Wish my boss would let me take the day off whenever I didn't feel like working.
Edge is in a contract year and should do just fine. He's never been the fastest guy in the world, but should be a nice yardage and TD threat this year. Lotsa weapons there, so the field should open for him.
"Sometime during the Pats game last week, I decided that Tomlinson was the best overall running back of my lifetime. There's nothing he can't do: deadly receiver, tough inside runner, explosive to the outside, you name it." - ESPN's Bill Simmons
He shall be fine..like the poster before said...contract year for him..wants to prove the worth..Just wondering...will he be a 'Phin next season?..mmmmm?

Nah, they will re-work someone's contract to help fit him in, along with Harrison. At least I hope...
Can't recall the source exactly- the Indy paper or cbssportsline but word is Dungy wants to incorporate Rhodes more into the offense this year and will have both Rhodes and James in the backfield at the same time more this year. I believe Rhodes' contract is up for renewal.
Edge is from Immokalee, Fla. Even though he has all the money he could ever need, he still maintains very close contact with all the home boys he grew up with.
Since he is so close to his "home boys", I honestly believe he would rather play with the Dolphins, so that he isn't far away from Immokalee.
Immokalee is only about 1 1/2 hours from Miami. Oh, I've heard Edge makes the drive in considerably "less" time! Lead foot!
