Postby bryan1327 » Sat Sep 04, 2004 1:36 pm

What do all think he shall do this season..I got him in the fifth round do to an early QB run that I missed out on..Grabbed him there..in the fifth...was the highest QB on my board at the time..And the guys after me needed QB's ...so I tried for him there or would loose out on any QB..

I see he is dinged up..should be good to go for the opener..Just wonder what thoughts are on him...

Thanks..

he is my starter too but i got him in the 6th round of a ten team league; penny and mcnair were taken the two picks before mine dammit; he should do well this year even though people are low on him

He's got 4 very good receivers in Horn, Pathon, Deuce, and Boo (Stallworth isn't proven, but he's still going to scare defenses). Plus he had a great TD/Int ratio last season. I'd feel comfortable starting him.

He's my #1 QB, too and I got him in the 6th round. He's an upper-tier QB who can run a little and who has really cut down on his TD-INT ratio and has a good WR corps and a top 5 back to take the pressure off of him. I think he will be good for about 3300/22 TDs this year and should be a safe starter most weeks. His quad injury should be nothing to worry about.

He's a startable QB, but I don't know about safe...he is really sporadic in his starts and fumbles quite a bit. Quality start-wise he's pretty poor (as is Manning if you look at it), so hopefully you have good consistent scorers in your RB and WR pools.

I don't recall where I read or heard this but I find ti to be more and more true for Brooks every week.

"He's the type of QB that will either win the game for you or lose it."

So as long as you're a gambling man like I am, he should be good to go.
