So I'm in my first IDP league this year,
as is most of the rest of the league - i took ray lewis in the 2nd round and am completely stacked at D. But while doing so,
I really neglected taking WR's (Ashley Lelie, Eddie Kennison, Branch+Givens are mine)
And I'm not too high on Mike Barrow, with all his injury concerns, plus the fact that he's in Washington with LaVar, and all.
but thankfully some kid accepted this trade i offered him:
Mike Barrow + Dunta Robinson
for his
Justin McCareins + Nate Webster (starting MLB in Cinci?)
did I get him? or was it fairly even?
the scoring is 1 point for each tackle, 0.5 for an assist, and the basic 2 or 3 points for other defensive stats. 6 for each rec. TD, 20 yards per PT, and 0.5 pt per each Rec.
Barrow injury concerns? If he is banged up who cares who hasn't played less then 15 games in only one season and that was back in '95. As for LaVar taking away tackles, I think that he will take the attention away from him if anything.
Anywho back onto the subject, it was a nice trade especially since you needed the help at WR, and you still do. I wouldn't say that you stole it from him, but it worked out for both of you if he needed IDPs.
Ah, alright.
Yeah, i mean - my defense is stacked, Ray Lewis, Greg Wesley, Rodney Harrison, Jamie Sharper, Mark Fields, Zach Thomas, DJ Williams, Nick Harper, Dhani Jones (we start 7, 2 DB, 2 DL, 3 D)
18 team league, i really slacked on WR, glad to know i didn't do anything dumb, wasn't sure if i took him or not though. thanks.
Hi, I'm in my first IDP with some pretty big sharks. I was offered Reggie Wayne for my 2010 1st Round pick and 2010 2nd Round pick (roughly be between pick 9 and 13). We have 14 teams IDP (1-QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, 1-TE, 1-PK, 1-DT, 2-DE, 4-LB, 2-CB, 2-S). I will definitely be a playoff team. My WR are Boldin, Gage, C Henry, L Moore, Sweed, K Walter, Avant, Franklin, and J Simpson. Thoughts? My RB's are Barber, Booker, D Rhodes, L Johnson, Hart, and M. Thomas.
It's really odd that you brought up a 2004 thread to start your question, but at least you're here.
In regards to your roster, you definitely are not a lock to make the playoffs this season as even your studs have question marks around them (Barber timeshare, Boldin trade, etc.). I would hold off on the deal. Reggie Wayne is solid, but older than you'd think (31 in November) and isn't worth all that you're giving up.
I know, sorry. Again being the "Rook" as they're all calling me, they're all offering me stupid offers. The reason I feel I'll be a playoff team is that out league has heavy points on defense especially in the LB. I have as my LBs Harrison, Ware, Woodley, Bradley, Brooking, Boley and Gholston. Harrison and Ware were the 10 and 15th highest scorers in the league. My TE is Witten, my DE are Vanden Bousch, Smith and Avril, QB Rodgers, Ryan, Hasselbeck and Wallace. Do you have a current forum for this question? I'm new to the Fantasy Cafe.
You're decent at lb. Only question marks are Brookings & Boley, but only because they have switched teams and are in new defensive schemes, so just not sure how they will make out. A sleeper to keep an eye on is Stephen Nicholas in Atlanta who should take Brookings spot at the WILL linebacker and if so, get good fantasy #'s like Brookings did. Another sleeper at the DB position is Sabby Piscitelli who will be taking over the SS spot in place of Jermaine Phillips who is (even another sleeper) moving to a LB position (taking over for Derrick Brooks). On the DL, there are many coming in this year's rookie crop that could make an immediate impact, but one from last year is Lawrence Jackson of Seattle......decent #'s for a rookie last season, so let's see how much of a step up LJack can make in his second season.
Thanks z raptor. All the guys you suggested have been scooped up. Our league has some pretty big hitters in it (writers from Rotoworld, Huddle, Rotowire, CBS Sportsline, etc.). Nice league to start my first IDP season. I've played FF for several years but the first time in IDP. I might be looking for some good sugggestions. I appreciate it.
