Is Darrell Jackson as good as he's ranked?

Postby Kevin » Sun Sep 05, 2004 10:07 pm

Sporting news has ranked him as a top 10 reciever(#8)... ranked well over KRob (#18). However KRob has seen a lot more action in preseason. Should we expect a good season out of him?

Once KRob settles his personal problems with the trainingstaff/coach he is the #1 IMO. I may be biased because Koren is one of my fav recievers but he has skills that I see from few in the league. Hasstlebeck has looked to him about twice as many times as Jackson during the preseason as well.

I actually don't have Jackson ranked in my top 12...To me he's a good #2 WR that could end up busting.

He has never caught that many balls in a year (68 last year!). He just gets a lot of 80 yard TD's. Yes, Seattle's offense should be awesome this year, but if he isn't getting thrown to a lot and is being covered by the team's top corner, he may have less chances to score.

D-Jax shouldn't really be ranked in the Top 12 IMO... His numbers are emphasized from last year b/c K-Rob's off year and some huge games in certain weeks. K-Rob is the #1 talent wise and should get more looks this year once he stops 'pulling a Plax' and gets on the field.

I agree with the concensus. I have K-Rob on one of my teams and D-Jax on another. K-Rob was much easier to get because of his down year last year. And it's really anyone's guess as to who will be the #1 (personally I think K-Rob), K-Rob is the better pick and D-Jax is rated way too high.
So they weren't the best...and may have ended the worst. SO WHAT!

I have D-Jax in my main league as my 3rd WR behind Coles and Moulds. I thought he'd have a very good year, especially with Hass due to improve. Should I be concerned or is he just a risk as a number 1 or 2?

I think as a #3 he's great. But it's just when people are ranking him top 12 thats concerning. He probably wont be a top 12 WR this year unless something happens to K-Rob.
