Dayne to be released

Postby Nero » Sat Apr 05, 2003 6:04 am

The Giants have agreed to sign free agent running back Dorsey Levens to act as Tiki Barber's backup and as the team's primary short-yardage back, according to ESPN.com. The move suggests that Barber’s current backup, the plodding and adventureless Ron Dayne, will be cut.

I wonder where he might catch on... NFL Europe? Maybe turned into a fullback?

Well Terp...let's see what happens

I emailed the NFL, ESPN.com and CNNSI.com asking them if they had any such data...

It just occured to me that maybe I could ask the Elias Sports Bureau...they would probably be able to offer some serious data..

Maybe some NFL team will snag him? I wouldn't rule it out. Look at some of the other guys that are still around. Jim Miller? Gus Ferotte? Granted these guys are QBs but I'm thinking somebody will pick him up. I have no idea who. Anyone agree?
