Week 2 QB Controversy? A little advise needed.

Postby joemomma » Wed Sep 11, 2002 12:48 pm

For week 2 I was looking at the matchups and can't decide on who to start at QB.

Garcia @ Denver
Brees @ Houston

Normally I go with Garcia. But after Denver shut down Warner last week, I may like the Brees @ Houston matchup better. Whatca' thinking??

Thanks.......

I'd go with Brees at Houston. Garcia looked terrible in game 1, he might need some time to iron things out.

Go with the veteran... Garcia is the man.

Houston is going to attack Brees the way they attacked Carter. For an expansion team they do have a good Def Line.

Stay with Garcia

Agreed. Garcia is your first round pick. Don't consider sitting him for a rookie with one good week. You guys give up too easily on your starters. This shouldn't even be a contest. Garcia is an All-Pro QB. This is Brees' second start.

Brees will find this week no breeze :) hehe

Houston may be an expansion team, but they have tough CBs brought in from NY and I would not take a chance...Garcia had a bad week, he still rocks and will post strong numbers. Plus, if you get point for QB running, he will gain some against an inexperienced Defense.

Yea,my advice is always,do not pay attention TOO much to a matchup, play the more talented player,if he's healthy.Garcia is the more talented, and experienced Qb,so start him.Only start Brees over him if he continues to struggle,or if he gets hurt.

i never sit my stud players. well... unless they have a bye. houstons D didnt look half bad against dallas, haha true it is only dallas, but i dont think they will be a huge pushover. garcia is the 2nd best qb in the league. u cant sit him.
