A General Fantasy Football Question

Postby DUKE » Mon Apr 07, 2003 3:32 pm

I'm not familiar with starting a league, but some locals around my neck of the woods were gonna start one. I may end up needing a couple of Cafe Reg's to deepen it too. My question(s) though is(are): 1. I want to have individual defensive players if possible
2. I want a live draft, rather than rankings

3. I want a stat tracker, because none of us seem to have the time to calculate stats all day, each week.

are there any places where I can sign up too, where I could get a league such as this one without having to pay a bunch of money. Please hook me up with any suggestions any of you may have. Of course I know how to play, I just don't know how to orchestrate the league. Thanks, DUKE

Duke, I played in a Yahoo league last year and they have what you're looking for. Individual defensive players.....live draft....and free of charge. Seemed pretty nice to me, but I'm somewhat of an amateur when it comes to fantasy football. Football I know......FF.....eh, getting there. ;-)

I used Yahoo last year, never had any trouble with it. I heard CBS has one that has a free stat tracker, thats a bonus.

I've been in and run a league that uses CBS commissioner............and it used to be free but now its 190.00 cdn dollars....but we still decided to use it because we all agreed that if it ain't broke don't fix it.....so the $150 fee that was...was upped to $170 per owner...still not too bad considering you can win it all back and then some just for playing fantasy football.

cbs sucks... making us pay... %-6

yahoo has all that and is free. it will calculate the stats for u, u only need to buy stat tracker if u must watch the players stats during the game... which u can do with the gamecenters at nfl.com for free so i never buy it! :-D

Thanks y'all. I was in a Yahoo league last year and we had a Sh#t comish. He traded sh#t for prime time recievers w/ his friend at the end of the season to make a run for the playoffs , but still lost. THis year everyone wants me to comish, so I guess I'll check out Yahoo. Thanks again. ;-D
