If you take a game early in the week and the line changes by kickoff, you have it at whatever you took the line at right?

Example, if you took KC +3 on Tuesday, but then that changes by kickoff Sunday, you're still locked in to the odds you took them at right?

I don't believe so. I believe it is just the same as horse racing. when you bet on a game you get the odds the game is at when the game starts.

In Vegas I thought it was whatever your ticket says...to me that means whatever the line and odds were when you put the bet down is what you're locked into.

I was under the impression that the odds you bet on are the odds you're locked into. Why else would someone make an early-week bet then?

You are locked into whatever odds you bought in at. That's why a lot of sites offer "friday deals". Lines on hot games tend to change several times a week between monday and friday, and the longer you wait, the better the odds are (typically) for the sportsbook.

What you bet is what you get. Sportbooks don't change the odds on you like racetracks.

Tyr is also right about the hot games too. Friday is usually "reduced juice" day. If a sportsbook has received a lot of action on one team they will try to even out the betting by offering reduced juice if you bet on the opposing team.

Exactly, whatever it says on the ticket. This is why they print the spread on casino tickets and if you bet a horse they do not print the odds.
